Ingredients

  • 280G Caprichos Del Paladar Roasted Chopped Tomatoes, 280G
  • 250Ml Shady Maple Farms Organic Maple Syrup
  • 1 Kg Tomatoes 1kg
  • - Natco Ground Cinnamon 100g
  • 50G Top-Op Clove Powder 50g
  • - Bart Allspice Ground 40g
  • - Tata Salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash and roughly chop 7 lbs of chopped tomatoes, removing any stems or blemishes.
  2. 2. In a large pot or crock-pot, combine the chopped tomatoes, 3 cups of maple syrup, 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon, 1 tablespoon of ground clove, 1 tablespoon of ground allspice, and 1 tablespoon of salt.
  3. 3. Stir the mixture well to combine all the ingredients evenly.
  4. 4. Cook the mixture on medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, until it thickens to a consistency similar to ketchup. This may take 1-2 hours.
  5. 5. Once the relish has thickened, carefully transfer it while still hot into sterilized jars, leaving a small gap at the top.
  6. 6. Seal the jars tightly and allow them to cool completely before storing in a cool, dark place. Serve as a condiment or side dish with your favorite meals.
