Ingredients
- 280G Caprichos Del Paladar Roasted Chopped Tomatoes, 280G
- 250Ml Shady Maple Farms Organic Maple Syrup
- 1 Kg Tomatoes 1kg
- - Natco Ground Cinnamon 100g
- 50G Top-Op Clove Powder 50g
- - Bart Allspice Ground 40g
- - Tata Salt
Instructions
- 1. Wash and roughly chop 7 lbs of chopped tomatoes, removing any stems or blemishes.
- 2. In a large pot or crock-pot, combine the chopped tomatoes, 3 cups of maple syrup, 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon, 1 tablespoon of ground clove, 1 tablespoon of ground allspice, and 1 tablespoon of salt.
- 3. Stir the mixture well to combine all the ingredients evenly.
- 4. Cook the mixture on medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, until it thickens to a consistency similar to ketchup. This may take 1-2 hours.
- 5. Once the relish has thickened, carefully transfer it while still hot into sterilized jars, leaving a small gap at the top.
- 6. Seal the jars tightly and allow them to cool completely before storing in a cool, dark place. Serve as a condiment or side dish with your favorite meals.
