Ingredients

  • 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
  • 8 Per Pack Orchardworld Apple Box
  • 50G Pepper Black Ground BWFO
  • 12.5 Kg Top-Op Cooking Salt 12.5kg
  • 20G Thai "Hand" White Pepper Powder, 20G
  • - Schwartz Paprika
  • 400 g Trs Turmeric Powder 400G
  • - Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar

Instructions

  1. 1. In a large pot or pressure cooker, heat over medium heat. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper to the pot. Stir to combine and let the pot heat up for a minute.
  2. 2. Add 2 diced onions, 1/2 teaspoon of paprika, 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric, and 1/2 teaspoon of white pepper to the pot. Stir and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the onions become translucent.
  3. 3. Stir in 1 diced sweet apple and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes to combine the flavors.
  4. 4. Pour in enough water to cover the ingredients, then add 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. If using a pressure cooker, seal the lid and cook on low pressure for 40 minutes. If using a stovetop, bring to a simmer and cook covered for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  5. 5. After pressure cooking, switch to slow cook mode and let the dish simmer for 1-3 hours to deepen the flavors. If on the stovetop, reduce the heat to low and continue simmering uncovered for the same duration.
  6. 6. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot as a standalone dish or with your favorite side.
