Instructions

  1. 1. Heat a large pot with a lid over medium heat and add 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels. Cover the pot and shake occasionally until all the kernels have popped, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat and transfer the popcorn to a large mixing bowl.
  2. 2. In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and a pinch of nutritional yeast to create the spice blend.
  3. 3. Lightly drizzle the popcorn with olive oil to help the spices stick.
  4. 4. Sprinkle half of the spice blend over the popcorn and toss well to coat evenly.
  5. 5. Repeat the process by drizzling the popcorn again with olive oil and adding the remaining spice blend. Toss until the popcorn is fully coated.
  6. 6. Serve immediately and enjoy your sweet and spicy masala popcorn as a flavorful dinner snack.
