- 454 g Southcliffe Turkey Mince 454G
- 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
- 1kg 1kg Green Pepper
- - Petti Delicato Extra Fine Passata
- - Schwartz Italian Seasoning
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 2. Cut the whole wheat bread loaf in half lengthwise and carefully scoop out the inside, breaking it into bite-sized pieces. Set the bread pieces aside.
- 3. In a large saucepan, combine 1 lb of lean ground turkey, 1 chopped onion, and 1/2 cup diced green pepper. Cook over medium heat until the turkey is fully browned and the vegetables are softened, about 8-10 minutes.
- 4. Stir in 1 cup of passata and 1 cup of shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese. Mix well until the cheese is melted and the mixture is evenly combined.
- 5. Add the reserved bread pieces and 1 tsp of Italian seasoning to the saucepan. Stir gently to coat the bread pieces with the mixture.
- 6. Spoon the filling into the hollowed-out bread loaf halves. Place the stuffed loaf halves on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the loaf is heated through and slightly crisp.
- 7. Remove from the oven, slice into portions, and serve warm.
