Ingredients

  • 1 Unit Organic Cabbage White 1 Unit
  • 1 Kg Carrots - 1kg
  • 100 G Jumbo Garlic 100g
  • 1 Bunch Spring Onions 1 Bunch
  • 250 Ml Ktc Jasmin Oil Cooking Oil 250Ml
  • 1 Kg Caputo Pasticceria 00 Cakes & Pastry Flour, 1Kg

Instructions

  1. 1. Prepare the filling by finely chopping 1 cup of cabbage, 1/2 cup of carrots, and 1/4 cup of spring onions.
  2. 2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add 1 teaspoon of minced garlic and 1 teaspoon of minced ginger. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. 3. Add the chopped vegetables to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened. Season with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of white pepper. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  4. 4. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of cakes & pastry flour and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Gradually add 1/3 cup of water while kneading to form a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  5. 5. Divide the dough into small, equal-sized balls (about 12-15). Roll each ball into a thin circle (about 3 inches in diameter) using a rolling pin.
  6. 6. Place 1 teaspoon of the prepared vegetable filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the edges over the filling and pinch to seal, forming a dumpling shape.
  7. 7. Prepare a steamer by bringing water to a boil. Line the steamer basket with parchment paper or cabbage leaves to prevent sticking.
  8. 8. Arrange the dumplings in the steamer basket, ensuring they do not touch each other. Steam for 10-12 minutes until the dough becomes translucent and the filling is cooked through.
  9. 9. Serve the steamed dumplings hot with soy sauce or chili sauce for dipping.
