- 1 Kg Yellow/White Onion 1kg
- 1kg 1kg Green Pepper
- - Thomas Ridley Fresh British Beef Mince
- 2.5 Kg Casa Marrazzo Organic Chopped Tomatoes, 2.5Kg
- - Ktc Vegetable Oil
- 70G Mill & Mortar Citrus Salt Flakes, 70G
- - Schwartz Paprika
- - McCormick Gourmet Organic Cayenne Pepper MCG-24431
- 25G Fillippone Italian Organic Bay Leaves, 25G
- - Chilli Powder Rajah
Instructions
- 1. Skip this step as there is no frozen corn to defrost.
- 2. Heat 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a heavy skillet over medium heat. Add 1 diced onion and 1 diced green bell pepper, and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- 3. Add 1 pound of ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon, about 7-8 minutes.
- 4. Stir in 2 cups of diced tomatoes, 1 teaspoon of chili powder, 1/8 teaspoon of paprika, 1/8 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt, and 1 bay leaf. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 5. Skip this step as there is no corn to add. Continue cooking the chili mixture as is.
- 6. Remove the bay leaf and adjust seasoning with additional chili powder if a spicier flavor is desired.
- 7. Serve the chili hot, garnished with your choice of toppings such as shredded cheese, sour cream, or chopped cilantro.
