  • - Fresh British Roasting Chicken
  • 1 Kg Tate & Lyle Granulated Sugar
  • 100 G Jumbo Garlic 100g

Instructions

  1. 1. Remove the wing tips from 1.5 kg of chicken wings and cut each wing in half at the joint.
  2. 2. In a large bowl, combine 160 ml soy sauce, 80 g brown sugar, 80 ml cider vinegar, 2 tsp garlic powder, and 1 tsp ground ginger. Stir until the sugars are dissolved.
  3. 3. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them thoroughly to coat with the marinade.
  4. 4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the chicken wings for at least 8 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to develop.
  5. 5. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F). Line a jelly roll pan with foil and arrange the marinated chicken wings in a single layer on the pan.
  6. 6. Bake the wings, uncovered, for 45 minutes. During baking, brush the wings with the leftover marinade twice to enhance the glaze.
  7. 7. Remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy your soy-glazed halal chicken wings!
