- 308G Roasted Sunflower Seeds, 308G
- 1 Kg Walnut Halves, 1Kg
- 2 Kg East End Brown Basmati Rice
- 100G Terre Exotique Winemaker'S Salt, 100G
- 150 Ml Artisan Soy Sauce - Kioke Damashii 3 Yr Old, 150Ml
- 1.5 Kg Bacheldre Organic Stoneground Strong Wholemeal Flour, 1.5Kg
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 2. Finely chop 1 onion and 2 stalks of celery. In a large skillet, sauté the chopped onion and celery with 1 teaspoon of sage, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce in 1/4 cup of water over medium heat until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- 3. In a blender, combine 1/3 cup of whole wheat flour and 3/4 cup of sunflower seeds with 2 cups of water. Blend until smooth.
- 4. Add the blended sunflower seed mixture to the sautéed vegetables in the skillet. Simmer the mixture for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently, until slightly thickened.
- 5. In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of whole wheat bread crumbs, 1 1/2 cups of chopped walnuts, and 3 cups of cooked brown rice.
- 6. Pour the sautéed vegetable and sunflower seed mixture into the mixing bowl with the bread crumbs, walnuts, and brown rice. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- 7. Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish, spreading it out evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 60 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and firm.
- 8. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving. Enjoy as is or pair with a light vegetarian gravy for added flavor.
