Ingredients
- 6 Per Pack Picard Mini Italian Bread Rolls
- 1 kg Monterey Jack Cheese Slices, British Cheese, 1Kg
- 100G Ginni'S Raw Pecans 100g
- 350G Alpenzu Apricot Preserve 100% Fruit Jam, 350G
- 395G Heinz Mayonnaise 395g
- 70G Mill & Mortar Citrus Salt Flakes, 70G
Instructions
- 1. Heat 1/2 cup of pecans in a small nonstick skillet over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 6 minutes or until lightly toasted.
- 2. Remove 2 dinner rolls from their packaging without separating them. Cut the rolls in half horizontally to create a top and bottom layer.
- 3. Spread 2/3 cup of apricot preserves evenly on the cut sides of the top halves of the rolls, then sprinkle the toasted pecans over the preserves.
- 4. Spread 1/2 cup of mayonnaise on the cut sides of the bottom halves of the rolls. Layer thinly sliced sirloin steak and 1/2 cup of cheese on top of the mayonnaise.
- 5. Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the filling, if desired. Place the top halves of the rolls, preserve side down, over the filling to assemble the sandwiches. Wrap the assembled rolls tightly in aluminum foil.
- 6. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Place the wrapped sandwiches on a baking sheet and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sandwiches are heated through.
- 7. Remove from the oven, unwrap the foil, and slice into individual sandwiches. Serve warm and enjoy!
