Ingredients
- 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
- 1kg 1kg Green Pepper
- 3 X 400G Garofalo Chopped Italian Tomatoes
- - Cooks & Co Sliced Mushrooms
- - Forest Whole Foods Organic White Quinoa
- 200G All Things Butter Unsalted Butter
- 100G Natco Garlic Powder (Jar) 100g
- 420G Kingsford Corn Starch, 420G
- 250 Ml Kikkoman Less Salt Soy Sauce
- - Silver Spoon Granulated Sugar
- - Tata Salt
Instructions
- 1. Heat 1/2 cup of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1kg of sliced green pepper and sprinkle with 1/8 tsp of garlic powder. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the peppers are slightly softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- 2. Remove the peppers from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add 1/2 cup of chopped onion and sauté for about 2 minutes until slightly softened.
- 3. Return the peppers to the skillet along with 1 chopped tomato and 1/4 cup of water. Stir to combine and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- 4. In a small bowl, mix together 1 tsp of sugar, 3 tbsp of soy sauce, and 1 tsp of salt. Pour this mixture into the skillet and stir well. Simmer the mixture, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is heated through, about 5-7 minutes.
- 5. Add 1 cup of sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the mushrooms are heated through.
- 6. Serve the pepper steak hot over cooked rice or alongside chow mein noodles for a complete meal.
