Instructions
- 1. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of peanut butter with 1 cup of water until smooth and well blended.
- 2. In a separate bowl, whisk together 3 cups of tomato juice and 1 cup of flour until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.
- 3. Add the tomato juice and flour mixture to the peanut butter mixture, stirring until fully combined.
- 4. Mix in 1 finely chopped onion, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of dried rosemary, ensuring all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- 5. Grease a double boiler with butter or a vegetarian alternative, then pour the mixture into the prepared boiler.
- 6. Steam the mixture in the double boiler for 5 1/2 hours, ensuring the water level is maintained throughout the cooking process.
- 7. Allow the loaf to cool completely before turning it onto a plate.
- 8. Slice the loaf and serve cold, or pan-fry the slices until golden brown and serve with a warm tomato gravy.
