- 410G Raw Organic Fresh Kraut Classic Crunch Sauerkraut & Sea Salt
- 300G Brown Sugar With Ginger, 300G
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- 2. Core and slice 1 apple into thin wedges and spread them evenly across the bottom of a baking dish.
- 3. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup sauerkraut, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and 1 diced tomato. Mix well to combine.
- 4. Spread half of the sauerkraut mixture over the apple slices in the baking dish.
- 5. Place 500 g of meat on top of the sauerkraut layer. Cut the meat in half if necessary to fit the dish.
- 6. Spread the remaining sauerkraut mixture over the meat, ensuring it is evenly coated.
- 7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2 hours, or until the meat is tender and cooked through.
- 8. Pour 1 cup of hot vegetable stock over the meat and sauerkraut, then return the dish to the oven uncovered for an additional 15 minutes.
- 9. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Serve hot over mashed potatoes with a side of steamed carrots.
