- 1. In a bowl, mix 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1/2 cup vinegar, 1 1/2 cups cooking oil, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, and the juice of 1 lemon until well combined.
- 2. Place 500 g paneer slices in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover and marinate for at least 3 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
- 3. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- 4. Remove the paneer slices from the marinade and arrange them on the prepared baking tray. Reserve the marinade for later use.
- 5. Bake the paneer slices in the oven for 15 minutes, then flip them over and bake for another 10 minutes until golden and slightly crisp.
- 6. While the paneer is baking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan and bring it to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
- 7. Once the paneer is done, drizzle the thickened marinade over the slices for added flavor.
