Ingredients
- 250G Shallot Onion - 250g
- 500 Ml Daylesford Organic Hot & Sour Vegetable Broth
- - Ktc Vegetable Oil
- - Jalpur Curry Powder
- - Chilli Powder Rajah
- 1.5 Kg Bacheldre Organic Stoneground Strong Malted Blend Flour, 1.5Kg
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- 2. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
- 3. Add 3 tablespoons of minced shallot to the hot oil and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- 4. Stir in 1 tablespoon of curry powder and 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- 5. In a small bowl, combine 4 tablespoons of flour and 4 tablespoons of chili powder. Sprinkle this mixture into the pot and stir well to coat the shallots.
- 6. Gradually pour in 1 1/2 cups of vegetable broth, stirring constantly to prevent lumps. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- 7. Cover the Dutch oven with a lid and transfer it to the preheated oven. Bake for 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally, until the flavors are well combined.
- 8. Taste the stew after 1 hour of cooking and adjust the seasoning with additional chili powder if desired.
- 9. Serve the stew hot alongside your favorite side dish.
