Ingredients
- 200G Mergulo Original Plant-Based Butter
- 1 Piece Red Bell Pepper, 1pcs | Gopuff
- 690 Ml Casa Marrazzo Organic Tomato Passata, 690Ml
- 15 Kg Caputo Red Strong Flour, 15Kg
- 113G Royal Baking Powder Tin, 113G
- 70G Mill & Mortar Citrus Salt Flakes, 70G
Instructions
- 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 1/2 cups of flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
- 2. Add 1/4 cup of chilled butter and use your fingers or a pastry cutter to blend it into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- 3. Gradually pour in 1 cup of milk, mixing until a firm dough forms.
- 4. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently for 1-2 minutes. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces.
- 5. Using a floured rolling pin, roll each piece into a 7 to 8-inch circle.
- 6. Place the rolled-out dough circles on a greased baking sheet. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 7. Top each flatbread with Jain-friendly toppings such as tomato passata, grated cheese, and chopped bell peppers or other non-root vegetables.
- 8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the cheese is melted.
- 9. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
