Ingredients
- 100 G Jumbo Garlic 100g
- 250G Ginger - 250g
- NaN Tilda Long Grain Rice
- - Oxo Chicken Stock Cubes
- 396G Cauldron Organic Tofu Block
- 1 Kg Natural Sea Salt Bwfo
- - Sapna Ginger Garlic Paste 1kg
Instructions
- 1. Wash and soak the basmati rice in water for 20 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- 2. Cut the tofu into cubes and lightly fry them in 1 tablespoon of oil until golden brown.
- 3. Heat the remaining oil in a deep pan and add cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, and bay leaf. Sauté until aromatic.
- 4. Add sliced onions and cook until golden brown, stirring occasionally to avoid burning.
- 5. Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1-2 minutes until the raw smell disappears.
- 6. Add chopped tomatoes, green chilies, turmeric, red chili powder, and biryani masala. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
- 7. Mix in the plant-based curd, mint leaves, and coriander leaves. Cook for 2-3 minutes on medium heat.
- 8. Add the fried tofu to the pan and mix well to coat it with the masala.
- 9. Layer the soaked rice over the tofu masala without stirring. Add water and sprinkle salt evenly.
- 10. Cover the pan with a tight-fitting lid and cook on low heat for 15 minutes until the rice is fully cooked.
- 11. Turn off the heat and let the biryani rest for 5 minutes before gently fluffing it with a fork.
- 12. Serve hot, garnished with fresh mint and coriander leaves.
