  • - Schwartz Garlic Powder 480g
  • - Schwartz Paprika
  • 1.5 Kg Best In Plain Flour 1.5 Kg
  • - Caputo Gluten Free Flour
  • 1 L Ktc Sunflower Oil

Instructions

  1. 1. Cut 1 kg of chicken into pieces and set aside.
  2. 2. Heat 120 ml of sunflower oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add 1 diced onion and sauté until slightly browned, about 5 minutes. Remove the onion and transfer it to a large Dutch oven.
  3. 3. In the same pan, add the chicken pieces. Season with 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper, and 1 tsp garlic powder. Brown the chicken on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. 4. Sprinkle 2 tbsp paprika evenly over the chicken. Once the chicken is browned, transfer it to the Dutch oven with the onions.
  5. 5. Add enough water to the Dutch oven to cover the chicken. Bring to a simmer over low heat and cook until the chicken is tender, about 30-40 minutes. Remove the chicken and set it aside on a plate.
  6. 6. In a small bowl, whisk together 200 ml sour cream and 2 tbsp flour until smooth. Gradually stir this mixture into the simmering liquid in the Dutch oven to create a thickened gravy. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently.
  7. 7. Meanwhile, prepare the dumplings by combining 4 cups of flour, 1 cup of Greek yogurt, and a pinch of salt in a mixing bowl. Gradually add water until a soft dough forms.
  8. 8. Drop spoonfuls of the dough into a pot of boiling salted water. Cook the dumplings until they float to the surface, about 3-5 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
  9. 9. Serve the chicken with the paprika gravy poured over it, accompanied by the dumplings. Enjoy your meal!
