Instructions
- 1. Combine 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 1/2 tablespoons sherry, 2 tablespoons orange marmalade, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 minced garlic clove, 1 1/2 teaspoons sesame oil, 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce, and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.
- 2. Pour the marinade into a shallow baking dish. Add 4 chicken breasts and turn them several times to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight, turning occasionally.
- 3. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9 x 9-inch baking dish.
- 4. Remove the chicken from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later use. Arrange the chicken in a single layer in the prepared baking dish.
- 5. Crush 6 sesame breadsticks and sprinkle the crumbs evenly over the chicken. Dot the chicken with 2 tablespoons of butter.
- 6. Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, basting frequently with the reserved marinade, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C).
- 7. Serve the chicken hot, garnished with additional sesame seeds or fresh herbs if desired.
