Ingredients
- 400G Casa Marrazzo Peeled Organic Tomatoes, 400G
- 1kg 1kg Green Pepper
- 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
- 100 G Jumbo Garlic 100g
- - Silver Spoon Granulated Sugar
- - Golden Swan White Vinegar
- 70G Mill & Mortar Citrus Salt Flakes, 70G
Instructions
- 1. Peel 24 large tomatoes and cut them into chunks.
- 2. Dice 12 green peppers and 10 onions, and mince 4 tablespoons of garlic.
- 3. In a large pot, combine the tomatoes, green peppers, onions, and garlic. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture reaches your desired consistency, about 30-40 minutes.
- 4. Add 2/3 cup sugar, 1 1/2 cups white vinegar, and 1/3 cup salt to the pot. Stir well to combine and let it simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
- 5. Carefully ladle the hot salsa into sterilized pint jars, leaving about 1/2 inch of headspace at the top.
- 6. Seal the jars with sterilized lids and rings. Process the jars in a hot water bath for 15 minutes to ensure proper sealing.
- 7. Remove the jars from the water bath and let them cool completely. Check the seals before storing. Yields 14 pints.
