- 200G Mergulo Original Plant-Based Butter
- 250 Ml Alpro Soya Long Life Alternative To Single Cream
- 60G Terre Exotique Cheeselovers Pepper, 60G
- - Potts Vegetable Stock Can
- 1 Kg Dumpling Flour, 1Kg
- - Mill & Mortar Finishing Salt Flakes Gift Set
Instructions
- 1. Melt 1/2 cup of butter in a heavy saucepan over medium heat.
- 2. Add 1/2 teaspoon of asafoetida, 1/2 teaspoon of, and 1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme to the melted butter. Stir for 30 seconds to release the aroma.
- 3. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour over the butter and herb mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes until the mixture is golden and smooth.
- 4. Gradually pour in 4 cups of hot vegetable broth, whisking continuously to prevent lumps. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- 5. Turn off the heat and stir in 1 cup of heavy cream until fully incorporated.
- 6. Add salt and pepper to taste, adjusting seasoning as needed.
- 7. Allow the sauce to cool slightly before storing in the refrigerator if not serving immediately.
- 8. Reheat gently over low heat before serving, ensuring not to boil.
