Ingredients
- 1Pc White Cabbage 1pc
- 1 Piece Red Bell Pepper, 1pcs | Gopuff
- 1kg 1kg Green Pepper
- 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
- 25 g Celery Seed 25G
- 70G Mill & Mortar Citrus Salt Flakes, 70G
- 200 Ml Yuzu & Honey Vinegar, 200Ml
- 454G Goya Brown Cane Sugar, 454G
- 85G Oriental Hot Mustard Powder, 85G
- 400 g Trs Turmeric Powder 400G
Instructions
- 1. Chop 1 medium cabbage, 1 green tomato, 2 sweet red peppers, 2 sweet green peppers, and 2 onions into small pieces.
- 2. Mix the chopped vegetables with 1/4 cup salt in a large bowl and let stand overnight to draw out excess moisture.
- 3. The next morning, drain the vegetables and press them to remove as much liquid as possible.
- 4. In a large pot, combine 1 1/2 cups vinegar, 2 cups brown sugar, 1 tsp dry mustard, 1 tsp turmeric, and 1 tsp celery seeds. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
- 5. Add the drained vegetable mixture to the pot and bring everything to a boil again, stirring occasionally.
- 6. Carefully ladle the hot mixture into sterilized jars, leaving 1/2-inch of space at the top.
- 7. Seal the jars with caps and screw bands firmly tight.
- 8. Process the sealed jars in a boiling water bath for 5 minutes to ensure proper preservation.
- 9. Allow the jars to cool completely before storing. Serve as a flavorful accompaniment to your dinner dishes.
