- 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
- 1 Piece Red Bell Pepper, 1pcs | Gopuff
- 850G Riseria Campanini 3 Cereals Rice, 850G
- 500 Ml Daylesford Organic Hot & Sour Vegetable Broth
- - Ktc Vegetable Oil
- - Lee Kum Kee Premium Dark Soy Sauce
- 420G Kingsford Corn Starch, 420G
Instructions
- 1. Thinly slice 900 g halal flank steak diagonally into strips.
- 2. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and 1 sliced onion, cooking until the steak is browned and the onion is softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- 3. In a small bowl, mix 2 tbsp corn starch with 1 1/4 cups vegetable broth and 1 tbsp soy sauce. Pour this mixture into the skillet with the steak and onion.
- 4. Stir the mixture until it begins to thicken. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 5. While the steak simmers, cut 2 bell peppers into thin strips and 1 tomato into wedges.
- 6. After 30 minutes, add the bell peppers and tomato to the skillet. Stir to combine and let it simmer uncovered for an additional 10 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- 7. Meanwhile, cook 2 cups of rice according to package instructions.
- 8. Serve the pepper steak and gravy over the cooked rice for a complete and satisfying meal.
