Ingredients

  • - Thomas Ridley Fresh British Beef Mince
  • 1 Kg Yellow/White Onion 1kg
  • 280G Caprichos Del Paladar Roasted Chopped Tomatoes, 280G
  • 60G Terre Exotique Black Sao Tome Pepper, 60G
  • 395G D'Aucy Chopped Spinach
  • 653G Mccain Baby Hasselback Potatoes Salt & Pepper
  • - Tata Salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. 2. In a skillet, brown 500 g halal ground beef with 1 diced onion until the beef is fully cooked and the onion is softened. Drain any excess fat.
  3. 3. Peel and thinly slice 10 medium potatoes. Arrange a thin layer of potato slices at the bottom of a 4-quart baking dish.
  4. 4. Sprinkle a portion of the cooked beef and onion mixture over the potato layer. Add 1/3 of a can of drained spinach, 1/3 of a can of drained whole kernel corn, and 1/3 of a can of diced tomatoes with their liquid.
  5. 5. Season each layer with a pinch of salt and pepper. Repeat the layering process two more times, finishing with a final layer of potatoes on top.
  6. 6. If the liquid from the tomatoes does not reach the top layer, add a small amount of water to ensure the dish remains moist during baking.
  7. 7. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and lightly browned.
  8. 8. Remove from the oven and let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy your Halal Layered Dinner Bake!
