Ingredients
- 1.4 Kg Shazans Chicken Medium Wholebird
- 50G Pepper Black Ground BWFO
- - Filippo Berio Garlic Flavoured Olive Oil
- 1 Kg Yellow/White Onion 1kg
- 1kg 1kg Green Pepper
- 850G Riseria Campanini 3 Cereals Rice, 850G
- 50G Picard Chopped Flat Parsley
- - Nearly Naked Veg Basil 100g
- - Tata Salt
- - Jalpur Curry Powder
Instructions
- 1. Season 500 g halal chicken pieces with 1 tbsp sweet basil, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper, and 1 tbsp curry powder.
- 2. Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken, 1 diced onion, and 1 diced green pepper. Stir-fry until the chicken starts to brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- 3. Add 1/2 cup water to the skillet, cover, and reduce the heat to low. Let the mixture simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 4. Rinse 3 cups of rice thoroughly and stir it into the skillet. Add enough water to just level with the mixture.
- 5. Cover the skillet tightly and cook on low heat until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed, about 15-20 minutes.
- 6. Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with 2 tbsp chopped parsley before serving.
