Instructions

  1. 1. In a large skillet or frying pan with a tight-fitting lid, cook 1 lb of ground beef and 1/2 cup of diced onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is tender, about 8-10 minutes.
  2. 2. Drain any excess grease from the skillet to keep the dish light.
  3. 3. Add 2/3 cup of uncooked rice, 1 cup of diced celery, 1/2 cup of diced bell pepper, 1 diced tomato, 2 teaspoons of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of pepper, 1 teaspoon of granulated beef bouillon, and 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce to the skillet.
  4. 4. Pour in 2 cups of water, stir well to combine, and bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
  5. 5. Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet tightly, and let the mixture simmer for 30 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is fully absorbed.
  6. 6. Fluff the rice with a fork, adjust seasoning if needed, and serve hot. Enjoy your gluten-free Tex-Mex rice bowl!
