Instructions
- 1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- 2. Season 900 g of pork with a pinch of salt and pepper, then grill for 10 to 15 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Remove from the grill and set aside.
- 3. In a large pot, combine 2 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp maple syrup, 3 tbsp gluten-free soy sauce, 2 tbsp gluten-free barbecue sauce, 1 tbsp miso, and 1/2 tsp dry mustard. Add 1 1/2 cups of water and stir well.
- 4. Place the grilled pork into the pot, ensuring it is coated with the sauce. Cover and simmer on low heat for 6 to 8 hours or on high heat for 3 to 4 hours, until the pork is tender.
- 5. Remove the pork from the pot and set aside. Add 1 1/2 cups of uncooked rice to the pot, stir, and cook on low heat until the rice is fully cooked and has absorbed the flavors of the sauce, about 20 minutes.
- 6. Slice the pork and serve it over the cooked rice, drizzling any remaining sauce from the pot over the top for extra flavor.
