Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. 2. Season 900 g of pork with a pinch of salt and pepper, then grill for 10 to 15 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Remove from the grill and set aside.
  3. 3. In a large pot, combine 2 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp maple syrup, 3 tbsp gluten-free soy sauce, 2 tbsp gluten-free barbecue sauce, 1 tbsp miso, and 1/2 tsp dry mustard. Add 1 1/2 cups of water and stir well.
  4. 4. Place the grilled pork into the pot, ensuring it is coated with the sauce. Cover and simmer on low heat for 6 to 8 hours or on high heat for 3 to 4 hours, until the pork is tender.
  5. 5. Remove the pork from the pot and set aside. Add 1 1/2 cups of uncooked rice to the pot, stir, and cook on low heat until the rice is fully cooked and has absorbed the flavors of the sauce, about 20 minutes.
  6. 6. Slice the pork and serve it over the cooked rice, drizzling any remaining sauce from the pot over the top for extra flavor.
