Ingredients

  • - Thomas Ridley Fresh British Beef Mince
  • 500G White Pearl Italian Pudding Rice 500g
  • 92G Bart Hot Curry Powder
  • 500 G Brown & Polson Cornflour

Instructions

  1. 1. In a large pot, brown 2 lb of ground beef over medium heat, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  2. 2. Add 4 tbsp of curry powder to the browned beef and stir well to coat the meat evenly.
  3. 3. Pour enough water into the pot to cover the beef, then bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Add more water if needed to maintain a saucy consistency.
  4. 4. In a small bowl, mix 3 tbsp of cornstarch with a few tablespoons of cold water to create a slurry. Stir this into the simmering beef mixture to thicken the sauce. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. 5. While the beef is simmering, prepare 2 cups of rice according to the package instructions. Fluff the cooked rice with a fork.
  6. 6. Serve the curried beef over the prepared rice, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
