- 180G La Favorita Tomato Sauce With Capers, 180G
Instructions
- 1. In a large bowl, mix 1 lb ground lean beef, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup uncooked rice, 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion, and 1 teaspoon salt until well combined.
- 2. With wet hands, shape the mixture into 8 evenly sized meatballs.
- 3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and place the meatballs in the skillet, spacing them about 1/2 inch apart.
- 4. In a separate bowl, mix 1 can of tomato sauce, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1 1/2 cups water until combined.
- 5. Pour 1/4 of the tomato sauce mixture over the meatballs in the skillet.
- 6. Bring the skillet to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover tightly, and simmer for 45 minutes, turning the meatballs twice during cooking.
- 7. Once the meatballs are fully cooked, remove them from the skillet and set aside.
- 8. Pour the remaining tomato sauce mixture into the skillet and heat over medium heat until steaming hot.
