Ingredients

  • 1.5 Kg Natco Cornmeal Medium, 1.5Kg
  • 50G Pepper Black Ground BWFO
  • NaN Unsweetened Almond Beverage
  • - Doves Farm Organic Chickpea Flour
  • 1kg 1kg Green Pepper
  • - Mill & Mortar Finishing Salt Flakes Gift Set
  • - Ktc Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine 3/4 cup all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup cornmeal, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
  2. 2. Gradually whisk in 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk until the batter is smooth and has a pancake-like consistency. Add a little more almond milk if the batter is too thick.
  3. 3. Slice 3 green tomatoes into 1/4-inch thick rounds.
  4. 4. Heat 1/4 cup vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  5. 5. Working in batches, dip each tomato slice into the batter, allowing any excess to drip back into the bowl.
  6. 6. Carefully place the battered tomato slices into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. 7. Transfer the fried tomatoes to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  8. 8. Serve the crispy fried green tomatoes warm as a main dish or side, with your favorite dipping sauce.
