Ingredients
- 250 G Sempio Gochujang
- 120 Ml Lee Kee Seasoned Rice Vinegar 120ml
- 160 Ml Cj Bibigo Sesame Oil
- 100 G Jumbo Garlic 100g
- - Ginger - 100g
- - Schwartz Sesame Seeds
- 1 Bunch Spring Onions 1 Bunch
- - Jalpur Soya Chunks
- - Kikkoman Soy Sauce
- - Honey & Mustard Sauce
- - Ktc Vegetable Oil
- 400G Whole Chickpeas In Water
Instructions
- 1. Soak the soy chunks in hot water for 10 minutes until softened, then drain and squeeze out excess water.
- 2. Toss the soy chunks in cornstarch until evenly coated for a crispy texture.
- 3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry the soy chunks until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
- 4. In the same pan, sauté minced garlic and ginger until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- 5. Add gochujang, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to the pan. Stir well to create a thick glaze.
- 6. Return the fried soy chunks to the pan and toss them in the glaze until fully coated.
- 7. Wash and pat dry the lettuce leaves to prepare them for wrapping.
- 8. Thinly slice the spring onions and toast sesame seeds in a dry pan for garnish.
- 9. Place a portion of the glazed soy chunks on each lettuce leaf and sprinkle with spring onions and sesame seeds.
- 10. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing crunch of the lettuce with the bold flavors of the soy chunks.
