Ingredients
- 1 Kg Caputo Cuor Di Cerali, 1Kg
- 1.5 Kg Natco Cornmeal Medium, 1.5Kg
- 60G Terre Exotique Cheeselovers Pepper, 60G
- 6 X 1 L Candia Just Milk Semi Skimmed
- 600G Picard-Organic Courgette Slices
- 70G Mill & Mortar Citrus Salt Flakes, 70G
- - Silver Spoon Granulated Sugar
- - Ktc Vegetable Oil
Instructions
- 1. In a mixing bowl, combine 3/4 cup flour, 1/4 cup cornmeal, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, and 3/4 cup milk. Mix until smooth to form a batter resembling pancake batter.
- 2. If the batter is too thick, add a little more milk to achieve the desired consistency.
- 3. Slice 4 courgettes into even rounds and dip each slice into the batter, allowing excess batter to drip back into the bowl.
- 4. Sprinkle each battered courgette slice lightly with 1 tablespoon sugar for a hint of sweetness.
- 5. Heat 2 inches of oil in a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.
- 6. Carefully place the courgette slices into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides, turning them gently with tongs.
- 7. Remove the fried courgettes from the skillet and transfer them to a colander to drain excess oil.
- 8. To prevent sogginess, stand the courgettes upright instead of stacking them. Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
