Ingredients
- 0.5 Kg Beetroot Cooked Box 5kg
- - Luscombe Organic Sicilian Orange Juice
- 200G Daylesford Organic Unsalted Butter
- 500 Ml Daylesford Organic Hot & Sour Vegetable Broth
- 420G Kingsford Corn Starch, 420G
- 250 Ml Huilerie Beaujolaise 2 Year Aged Fruit Vinegar Cider, 250Ml
- 454G Goya Brown Cane Sugar, 454G
Instructions
- 1. Peel and slice 2 medium-sized beets into thin rounds or wedges.
- 2. In a small bowl, stir 2 tablespoons of cornstarch into 120 ml of vegetable broth until fully dissolved.
- 3. In a medium saucepan, combine 240 ml of orange juice, 180 ml of cider vinegar, and 200 g of brown sugar. Heat over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture comes to a boil.
- 4. Gradually add the cornstarch mixture to the saucepan, stirring constantly. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the glaze becomes clear and thickened.
- 5. Reduce the heat to low and stir in 15 g of butter until melted and fully incorporated.
- 6. Add the sliced beets to the saucepan, stirring gently to coat them evenly with the glaze. Cook for an additional 5 minutes to warm the beets through.
- 7. Serve the citrus-glazed beets warm as a flavorful side dish or a light vegetarian main course.
