A refreshing no-bake citrus salad with a hint of ginger ale, perfect for a light dinner. This vegetarian dish combines zesty orange and lemon flavors with a delightful crunch of walnuts.
Ingredients
- 1 Kg Louis Francois Gelatine Sheets, 1Kg
- 850 Ml Tropicana Long Life Pure Original Orange Fruit Juice With Bits
- - London Essence Delicate Ginger Ale
- 308G Roasted Sunflower Seeds, 308G
- - Sunita Lemon Juice Organic
- - Silver Spoon Granulated Sugar
- 60G Mill & Mortar Organic Salt Of Hearts, 60G
Instructions
- 1. Sprinkle 2 packets of unflavored gelatin over 1/2 cup of lemon juice in a glass measuring cup and let it soften for 5 minutes.
- 2. Place the measuring cup over a bowl of hot water and stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
- 3. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1 1/4 cups of orange juice, and 2 cups of ginger ale. Stir well to dissolve the sugar.
- 4. Add the dissolved gelatin mixture to the bowl and mix thoroughly. Refrigerate the mixture, stirring every 10 minutes, until it reaches the consistency of unbeaten egg whites (about 30-40 minutes).
- 5. Gently fold in 2 cups of orange sections and 2/3 cup of roasted sunflower seeds until evenly distributed.
- 6. Pour the mixture into a 1 1/4-quart ring mold or a glass bowl. Smooth the top and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
