A refreshing and tangy cabbage and apple salad paired with a spiced yogurt dressing, perfect for a light and satisfying dinner. This Jain-friendly dish is quick to prepare and full of flavor.
Ingredients
- 125G Muller Corner Plant Based Vanilla & Chocolate Balls Yogurt
- 50G Pepper Black Ground BWFO
- 400G Natco Mustard Seeds 400g
- 4 Per Pack Orchardworld Blush Pears
- 1 Kg Pariani Italian Lara Walnuts, 1Kg
- 1 Pc Gopuff Morrisons Cabbage
- 1 Kg Tate & Lyle Granulated Sugar
- - Tata Salt
- - Ktc Vegetable Oil
Instructions
- 1. In a large bowl, whisk 2 cups of yogurt until smooth and creamy.
- 2. Stir in 3 tablespoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 3/4 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill.
- 3. In another bowl, toss 2 cups of thinly sliced pears to combine evenly.
- 4. Add 6 cups of shredded cabbage to the pears and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for up to 3 hours or until ready to serve.
- 5. Just before serving, pour the chilled yogurt mixture over the cabbage and pear mixture. Add 1/3 cup of roasted walnuts and toss everything together until well combined.
- 6. In a small saucepan, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over high heat until almost smoking. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons of mustard seeds and immediately cover the pan. Allow the seeds to pop for a few seconds, then remove from heat.
- 7. Pour the tempered mustard seeds and oil over the salad. Toss gently to distribute the flavors evenly.
- 8. Serve the salad immediately as a refreshing dinner option.
