Ingredients

  • - White Farmhouse Bread 800g
  • 300G Dairy Valley Khoya
  • 1 Kg White Granulated Sugar
  • - Natco Cardamom Powder
  • 1G Saffron 1g
  • 250G Butter Salted 250G

Instructions

  1. 1. Crumble 1 cup of mawa (khoya) in a non-stick pan. Cook it on low heat for 2-3 minutes until it softens and releases a pleasant aroma. Stir continuously to prevent burning.
  2. 2. Add 2 tbsp of powdered sugar and 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder to the mawa. Mix well and cook for another minute. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool completely.
  3. 3. Trim the edges of 6 slices of white bread. Flatten each slice gently using a rolling pin.
  4. 4. Place a small portion of the cooled mawa mixture on one edge of a bread slice. Roll the bread tightly to enclose the filling. Seal the edges with a little milk.
  5. 5. Heat 2 tbsp of clarified butter in a pan on medium flame. Shallow fry the rolls until they turn golden brown on all sides, rotating gently to ensure even cooking.
  6. 6. In a separate pan, heat 1 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of water to make a sugar syrup. Simmer until the syrup reaches a one-string consistency. Add a pinch of saffron for flavor.
  7. 7. Dip the fried rolls in the warm sugar syrup for 1-2 minutes, ensuring they are well-coated. Remove and let excess syrup drip off.
  8. 8. Garnish the rolls with chopped pistachios and almonds. Serve warm or at room temperature.
