A delicious and easy-to-make eggetarian dish featuring spinach, cheddar cheese, and eggs, perfect for a satisfying dinner. These baked bites are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Ingredients
- 1 Kg Yellow/White Onion 1kg
- - Cathedral City Mature Cheddar Cheese
- 400G Sabarot Chia Seeds, 400G
- 395G D'Aucy Chopped Spinach
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and lightly grease a baking tin.
- 2. Wash 2 cups of spinach thoroughly, then cook it in a pan over medium heat until wilted. Drain the spinach and squeeze out excess moisture until very dry.
- 3. Finely chop 1 medium onion and combine it with the cooked spinach in a large mixing bowl.
- 4. Add 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and 6 tablespoons of chia seeds mixed with 18 tablespoons of water to the bowl. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are well combined.
- 5. Roll the mixture into balls about the size of an egg yolk using your palms. Place the balls on a tray and freeze for 15 minutes to firm them up.
- 6. Remove the balls from the freezer and let them thaw for 5 minutes. Arrange them on the greased baking tin and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- 7. Serve warm as a delightful dinner option.
