Ingredients

  • 1 Piece Fresh Green Pumpkin Piece I 1kg
  • 500 Ml Sesame Oil 10 Litres
  • 40G Terre Exotique "Extra" Turmeric Powder, 40G
  • - Mccormick Cumin Powder
  • 70G Mill & Mortar Citrus Salt Flakes, 70G

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. 2. Cut the pumpkin in half and remove the seeds. Place the halves cut side up on a baking tray.
  3. 3. In a small bowl, mix 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1/2 tsp, and a pinch of salt.
  4. 4. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the pumpkin halves. Drizzle 2 tbsp of sesame oil over the top.
  5. 5. Add a small amount of water to the baking tray to prevent the pumpkin from drying out.
  6. 6. Bake the pumpkin in the preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes, or until the flesh is tender and easily scoopable.
  7. 7. Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and scoop out the spiced pumpkin pulp. Serve warm as a side dish or main course.
