Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish lightly with butter or oil.
- 2. In a mixing bowl, combine 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg and 1/2 teaspoon salt with fresh spinach leaves. Spread the spinach mixture evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- 3. Arrange 500 g of halal-certified chicken pieces over the spinach layer.
- 4. In a saucepan, melt 1/4 cup butter over medium heat. Stir in 1/4 cup gram flour, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, and the remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt to form a smooth paste.
- 5. Gradually whisk in 2 cups sesame chicken broth, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, and 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg. Continue stirring until the mixture comes to a boil and thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
- 6. Pour the thickened sauce evenly over the chicken and spinach in the baking dish.
- 7. In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup bread crumbs with 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the casserole.
