- 1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- 2. Sprinkle the pork shoulder joint with meat tenderizer according to label directions and place it in a Dutch oven.
- 3. In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup Asian BBQ sauce, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, and 1 teaspoon of the remaining ingredients. Mix well.
- 4. Pour the prepared sauce mixture over the pork shoulder joint, ensuring it is evenly coated.
- 5. Cover the Dutch oven tightly with a lid or aluminum foil and bake for 3 hours, or until the pork is tender and cooked through.
- 6. Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes. Optionally, make gravy from the pan drippings by simmering them on the stovetop until thickened.
