Ingredients
- 41G Schwartz Hot Chilli Con Carne Recipe Mix
- - Beef Topside Steak (1 Kg) Thin
- 100G Fresh Green Chillies - 100G
- 20G Cheesies Gouda
- - Schwartz Garlic Powder 480g
- - Tropical Sun Onion Powder
- - Marnoto Hand Harvest Fine Sea Salt
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 2. Season the beef steaks with garlic powder, onion powder, Schwartz Hot Chilli Con Carne Recipe Mix, and a pinch of Marnoto Hand Harvest Fine Sea Salt. Cook the steaks in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned on both sides. Set aside to cool slightly.
- 3. While the steaks are cooking, prepare the hatch green chiles by making a lengthwise cut to remove the seeds, keeping the stem attached for presentation.
- 4. In a bowl, crumble the feta cheese and mix with green pepper, Schwartz Hot Chilli Con Carne Recipe Mix, and a pinch of Marnoto Hand Harvest Fine Sea Salt. Ensure the mixture is well combined.
- 5. Once the beef steaks have cooled, slice them into thin strips. These will be added into the stuffing mixture for the chiles.
- 6. Pop the popping corn according to package instructions and once done, mix a handful of the popped corn into the feta and beef mixture for a crunchy texture.
- 7. Stuff each hatch green chile with the beef, feta, and popped corn mixture, ensuring it's packed well and the filling won’t fall out.
- 8. Place the stuffed chiles on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the chiles are tender and the filling is heated through.
- 9. Serve the stuffed hatch green chiles hot, garnished with a sprinkle of Schwartz Hot Chilli Con Carne Recipe Mix if desired.
