Ingredients
- - Budgen Mission 6 Tortillas Plain 368G
- 1 Head Organic Romaine Lettuce
- 400G American Ranch Crispy Shredded Chicken
- 250 Ml Arla Lactofree Cream
- - Mccormick Cumin Powder
- - Schwartz Garlic Powder 480g
- 20G Cheesies Gouda
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- 2. Heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- 3. Add the shredded chicken to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and slightly crispy. Remove from heat and set aside.
- 4. In a mixing bowl, combine cream, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of cumin powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix well to create a creamy filling.
- 5. Fold the cooked shredded chicken into the creamy mixture, ensuring the chicken is evenly coated.
- 6. Lay out the tortillas on a clean surface. Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the creamy chicken mixture onto the center of each tortilla.
- 7. Roll each tortilla tightly into a taquito shape and place them seam-side down on the prepared baking tray.
- 8. Lightly brush the tops of the taquitos with a small amount of cooking oil to help them crisp up in the oven.
- 9. Bake the taquitos in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- 10. While the taquitos are baking, prepare the garnish. Thinly slice the lettuce and set aside. If desired, chop jalapenos for an extra kick.
- 11. Once the taquitos are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
- 12. Serve the taquitos on a bed of the sliced lettuce. Top with jalapenos for added spice, if desired.
- 13. Note: The avocado decoration is a decorative item and not meant for consumption. Place it as a fun table centerpiece to complement the dish's presentation.
