Ingredients

  • 2.27L / 4 Pints British Whole Milk 2.27L / 4 Pints
  • - Philadelphia Original Soft Cream Cheese 165g
  • Pack Tray Of 30 Medium Free Range Eggs
  • - Anchor Salted Butter 200g

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Lightly grease your baking molds or muffin tin with Anchor Salted Butter to prevent sticking. Set aside.
  2. 2. In a small saucepan, melt 100g of Anchor Salted Butter over low heat. Once melted, set aside to cool slightly.
  3. 3. In a mixing bowl, combine 200ml of British Whole Milk, 2 medium eggs from the Tray of 30 Medium Free Range Eggs, and the cooled melted butter. Whisk until well combined.
  4. 4. In a separate bowl, sift together 200g of White Granulated Sugar, 250g of plain flour (ensure this is available), 1 teaspoon of food-grade baking powder (replace 'Makeup Revolution Loose Baking Powder' with a culinary-grade baking powder), and a pinch of Top-Op Table Salt. Mix the dry ingredients thoroughly.
  5. 5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until a smooth batter forms. Be careful not to overmix, as this can affect the texture of the bread.
  6. 6. Divide the batter evenly into the prepared baking molds or muffin tin, filling each mold about halfway.
  7. 7. Add a dollop of Philadelphia Original Soft Cream Cheese (approximately 1 teaspoon per mold) on top of the batter for added creaminess.
  8. 8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and fully cooked. You can test the doneness by inserting a toothpick into the bread portion; it should come out clean.
  9. 9. Remove the Gyeran Ppang from the oven and brush the tops with the remaining melted Anchor Salted Butter for extra flavor.
  10. 10. Allow the bread to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your freshly made Gyeran Ppang as a delicious snack or breakfast treat!
