Ingredients
- 2.27L / 4 Pints British Whole Milk 2.27L / 4 Pints
- - Philadelphia Original Soft Cream Cheese 165g
- Pack Tray Of 30 Medium Free Range Eggs
- - Anchor Salted Butter 200g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Lightly grease your baking molds or muffin tin with Anchor Salted Butter to prevent sticking. Set aside.
- 2. In a small saucepan, melt 100g of Anchor Salted Butter over low heat. Once melted, set aside to cool slightly.
- 3. In a mixing bowl, combine 200ml of British Whole Milk, 2 medium eggs from the Tray of 30 Medium Free Range Eggs, and the cooled melted butter. Whisk until well combined.
- 4. In a separate bowl, sift together 200g of White Granulated Sugar, 250g of plain flour (ensure this is available), 1 teaspoon of food-grade baking powder (replace 'Makeup Revolution Loose Baking Powder' with a culinary-grade baking powder), and a pinch of Top-Op Table Salt. Mix the dry ingredients thoroughly.
- 5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until a smooth batter forms. Be careful not to overmix, as this can affect the texture of the bread.
- 6. Divide the batter evenly into the prepared baking molds or muffin tin, filling each mold about halfway.
- 7. Add a dollop of Philadelphia Original Soft Cream Cheese (approximately 1 teaspoon per mold) on top of the batter for added creaminess.
- 8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and fully cooked. You can test the doneness by inserting a toothpick into the bread portion; it should come out clean.
- 9. Remove the Gyeran Ppang from the oven and brush the tops with the remaining melted Anchor Salted Butter for extra flavor.
- 10. Allow the bread to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your freshly made Gyeran Ppang as a delicious snack or breakfast treat!
