- 160 Ml Cj Bibigo Sesame Oil
- 1 Bunch Spring Onions 1 Bunch

- 1 Kg Jasmine Rice Thai Hom Mali, 1Kg
- 360G The Black Farmer Organic Chicken Thighs Skinless & Boneless
- 350G Meridian Organic Molasses
- 3 Per Pack Natoora Large Spanish Garlic
- 1 L Crisp N Dry Oil
- 750 G Top-Op Table Salt Drums
- - Greenfields Ground White Pepper
- 500 Ml Haday Signature Dark Soy Sauce, 500Ml
- NaN Mcdougalls Self Raising Flour
Instructions
- 1. In a large bowl, mix 1 cup of cakes & pastry flour, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of ground white pepper.
- 2. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 egg and 1/2 cup of cold water.
- 3. Cut 500g of boneless, skinless chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
- 4. Dip each chicken piece into the egg mixture, then coat evenly with the flour mixture.
- 5. Heat 1 cup of cooking oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat until it reaches 175°C.
- 6. Fry the chicken pieces in batches for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
- 7. In a small saucepan, combine 1/4 cup of gochujang (Korean chili paste), 2 tablespoons of dark soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of molasses, 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar, 1 tablespoon of minced large Spanish garlic, and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil. Heat over medium heat until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-4 minutes.
- 8. Toss the fried chicken pieces in the sauce until evenly coated.
- 9. Cook 2 cups of jasmine rice according to package instructions.
- 10. Assemble the rice bowls by placing a portion of cooked rice in each bowl, then topping with the sauced chicken.
- 11. Garnish with 1/4 cup of sliced green onions and 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame seeds.
