Ingredients

  • NaN Tilda Long Grain Rice
  • 500G Pure Dairy Free Sunflower Spread
  • 11G Yutaka Sushi Nori Seaweed
  • 500 Ml Hd Rice Vinegar, 500Ml

Instructions

  1. 1. Soak 1 cup of raw rice in water for 6 hours. Drain and grind it into a smooth paste using 1/2 cup of water.
  2. 2. Transfer the rice paste to a clean bowl. Add 1/4 tsp of salt and mix well.
  3. 3. Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and let it ferment in a warm place for 8-12 hours or overnight until the batter rises and becomes slightly sour.
  4. 4. Heat a steamer or idli cooker. Grease small idli moulds or small bowls with Pure Dairy Free Sunflower Spread.
  5. 5. Pour the fermented rice batter into the greased moulds, filling them halfway.
  6. 6. Steam the rice balls for 10-12 minutes on medium heat until they are cooked through and firm.
  7. 7. Remove the rice balls from the moulds and let them cool slightly.
  8. 8. Serve the fermented rice balls warm with coconut chutney or sambar.
