Ingredients
- 6 Each Golden Yolk Eggs 6 Pack
- 500 G Marco Alimentari Italian Ricotta Cheese
- 100 G Britannia Superfine Dark Chocolate Chips
- 1 Kg Heera Maida Flour,1kg
- 1 L Ktc Sunflower Oil
- 500 G Organic Cocoa Powder Bwfo
Instructions
- 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 250g of Heera Maida Flour with a pinch of salt. Gradually add 2 Golden Yolk Eggs and mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 2. Wrap the dough in cling film and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- 3. While the dough is resting, prepare the filling. In a separate bowl, mix 250g of Marco Alimentari Italian Ricotta Cheese with 2 tablespoons of Organic Cocoa Powder Bwfo and 50g of Britannia Superfine Dark Chocolate Chips. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Refrigerate the filling until ready to use.
- 4. After the dough has rested, roll it out thinly on a floured surface. Cut the dough into circles approximately 10cm in diameter.
- 5. Heat Ktc Sunflower Oil in a deep frying pan to 180°C. Carefully wrap each dough circle around a metal cannoli tube, sealing the edges with a little beaten egg.
- 6. Fry the dough-wrapped tubes in the hot oil for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp. Remove the shells from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain. Allow them to cool completely before removing the metal tubes.
- 7. Once the shells are cool, use a piping bag to fill them with the prepared ricotta mixture.
- 8. Optional: Dust the filled cannoli with a light sprinkle of Organic Cocoa Powder Bwfo for added flavor and presentation.
- 9. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade Italian cannoli!
