Instructions

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 500g of plain flour, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of salt. Mix well.
  2. 2. In a small bowl, dissolve 1 packet (7g) of dried active yeast in 250ml of warm water. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  3. 3. Gradually add the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients in the mixing bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and mix until a dough forms.
  4. 4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. 5. While the dough is rising, prepare the toppings. Slice the green pepper, red bell pepper, and courgette into thin strips or desired shapes.
  6. 6. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  7. 7. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into two equal portions. Roll out each portion into a round pizza base on a floured surface.
  8. 8. Place the rolled-out pizza bases onto baking trays lined with parchment paper.
  9. 9. Spread a generous amount of tomato sauce evenly over each pizza base.
  10. 10. Sprinkle the prepared green pepper, red bell pepper, and courgette slices over the tomato sauce.
  11. 11. Tear the basil into smaller pieces and scatter them over the toppings for added flavor.
  12. 12. If desired, drizzle a small amount of olive oil over the toppings for extra richness.
  13. 13. Note: The ingredient 'oregano oil softgels' is not suitable for direct use in cooking. If oregano flavor is desired, consider using dried or fresh oregano as a substitute.
  14. 14. Bake the pizzas in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the toppings are cooked through.
  15. 15. Remove the pizzas from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
  16. 16. Note: Replace any non-vegan cheese with a dairy-free cheese alternative if you wish to maintain the vegan nature of the recipe.
