Ingredients
- 1kg 1kg Green Pepper
- 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
- 1 L Olive Oil – Organic
- 190G Sundried Tomato Paste, 190G
- 280G Caprichos Del Paladar Roasted Chopped Tomatoes, 280G
- - Jalpur Crushed Red Chilli Pepper Flakes
- - Schwartz Garlic Powder 480g
- 1 Kg Tate & Lyle Granulated Sugar
- 100G Terre Exotique Winemaker'S Salt, 100G
Instructions
- 1. Chop 2 kg of tomatoes, 2 green peppers, 1 hot pepper, and 2 onions into small pieces.
- 2. Heat 60 ml of cooking oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped tomatoes, green peppers, hot pepper, and onions. Cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender.
- 3. Allow the cooked mixture to cool slightly, then transfer it to a blender. Blend until smooth.
- 4. Return the blended mixture to the pot. Stir in 4 tsp of garlic powder, 1/2 oz of dried oregano, 120 g of tomato paste, 2 tbsp of sugar, and 2 tbsp of salt. Mix well.
- 5. Bring the sauce to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- 6. Once the sauce has thickened, let it cool slightly before transferring it to sterilized jars. Seal the jars tightly and store in the refrigerator or use immediately.
