Instructions
- 1. Peel the eggplant and cut it into thick sticks, resembling large French fries.
- 2. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of flour and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- 3. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 egg, 1 cup of milk, and 1 tablespoon of oil until well combined.
- 4. Gradually add the wet mixture to the flour mixture, stirring until a smooth batter forms. Alternatively, blend all batter ingredients in a blender for 1 minute for a smoother consistency.
- 5. Heat enough oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 6. Dip each eggplant stick into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated.
- 7. Carefully place the coated eggplant sticks into the hot oil and fry in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
- 8. Remove the fried eggplant sticks with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
