Ingredients

  • - Cofresh Whole Green Chilli 350g
  • - Jalpur Sago Seeds Medium
  • 1 L Ktc Sunflower Oil
  • 750 G Top-Op Table Salt Drums
  • 500G Unsalted Raw Peanuts, 500G

Instructions

  1. 1. Soak 1 cup of sago seeds (sabudana) in water for about 4 to 6 hours or until they become soft. Drain any excess water and set aside.
  2. 2. Boil 2 large potatoes until they are cooked and soft. Once boiled, peel and mash them in a large mixing bowl.
  3. 3. In a pan, roast 1/2 cup of unsalted raw peanuts until they are golden brown. Allow them to cool, remove the skins, and roughly crush them.
  4. 4. In the mixing bowl, combine the soaked sabudana, mashed potatoes, crushed peanuts, 1 teaspoon of caraway seeds (shahi jeera), 2 finely chopped fresh green chilies, and salt to taste.
  5. 5. Add a tablespoon of lemon juice to the mixture to enhance the flavor. Mix everything together until well combined.
  6. 6. Divide the mixture into small portions and shape them into flat patties or vadas.
  7. 7. Heat cooking oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, gently slide in the vadas.
  8. 8. Fry the vadas until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides, then remove them and place on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  9. 9. Serve the Sabudana Vadas hot with your choice of chutney or yogurt.
