Ingredients
- 1 Packet Curry Leaves (1 Packet)
- - Cofresh Whole Green Chilli 350g
- - Tamicon Tamarind Concentrate 200g
- 1 Kg Trs Chana Dal
- 100G Greenfields Brown Mustard Seeds, 100G
- 1 L Ktc Sunflower Oil
- 750 G Top-Op Table Salt Drums
- NaN Trs Haldi Powder Turmeric
- 50G Natco Dried Chillies 50g
Instructions
- 1. Heat 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- 2. Add 1 teaspoon of brown mustard seeds to the hot oil and let them splutter.
- 3. Toss in 1 tablespoon each of chana dal, black eye beans in brine, and peanuts. Stir-fry until they turn golden brown.
- 4. Mix in 2 dried red chillies, a pinch of fennel seeds, and 8-10 curry leaves. Stir briefly until fragrant.
- 5. Add 1 chopped fresh green chilli and a few slivered almonds, cooking until the almonds turn golden.
- 6. Sprinkle in 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder and a pinch of dry fenugreek leaves, mixing well.
- 7. Pour in 3 tablespoons of tamarind pulp and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- 8. Gently fold in 3 cups of puffed rice, ensuring each piece is well coated with the spice mixture.
- 9. Season with salt to taste and mix thoroughly.
- 10. Serve the Pulihora warm, either on its own or with your favorite sides.
